Charapoana Island Lodge is situated on Charapoana Island which forms part of the chain of islands on the northern rim of the Marovo Lagoon. Its extensive coral reef along the shore line offers amazing snorkeling, and the local style accommodation provides a serene outlook over the lagoon. Whilst facilities are very simple, your hosts will make every effort to ensure your Solomon experience will be memorable.
Facilities & Services
This rustic and real locale provides fresh food collected right from your front door. Your hosts Elaynedad and Jae will even show you local style fishing, gardening , coconut husking and cooking methods . Imagine paddling a local canoe in the lagoon at sunset for an extra special view!
To compliment your relaxing stay at Charapoana, Jae can offer you snorkeling trips to Petu, Matinana, Ebolo and Tiaro reefs for $50 SBD per person plus fuel charges for the canoe. Petu also has an additional custom fee of $50 per person. Fishing by motorised canoe costs $150SBD per person plus the fuel used, and hunting for coconut crabs on the island costs $25 per person. Jae can also take you on village and custom site tours or crocodile spotting for $100 per person plus fuel, or to some of the local mountains on surrounding islands to take in the views and enjoy birdwatching. Charges apply.
Meals cost $35 for Breakfast, $45 for Lunch and $65 for Dinner with an accent on fresh fruit, vegetables and fish.
