Hambere Village Stay
Address: Hambere Village, Kolombangara Is, Kolombangara view mapSojourn in a traditional leaf hut built from sago palm. Your unique experience is highlighted by the views, provided by the bungalows lagoon position on Kolombangara Island. The two rooms open onto a small verandah which also doubles as an extra bedroom for larger groups.
Rates include Govt. bed tax.
Confirmed bookings may be cancelled by the traveler but a booking fee of $100.00 plus bank fees charged in the confirmed booking is non refundable. A booking will only be considered cancelled upon written acknowledgement from the local operator. No show or cancellation less than 7 days will attract a days tariff and bank fees.
Late check-out policy:
- Can be arranged with the family to suit transfer times back to Gizo
- Subject to availability and on request.
Children policy:
Children under five (5) Years old are free to stay with their parents.

My homestay at Hambere was an excellent experience and gave me a taste of authentic Solomon Island village life. Venti and his extended family made me feel very welcome and the leaf house I stayed in was very comfortable. I would definately reccommend Hambere to anyone wanting to get off the beaten track for a while.
