Kopikorapa Eco Holiday Destination is situated on Pogepogere Island in northwest Marovo Lagoon. In local language it means Middle Bay. The charming, traditional style bungalows set in this remote location, surrounded by the lagoon’s natural beauty, will provide you with a peaceful and relaxing stay. Snorkeling, canoe paddling, local style fishing and trolling, as well as trekking, village visits and private sandy beaches are available with the help of friendly local staff. Part of the experience is learning about the unique traditions of Marovo people.
Kopikorapa is situated in central Marovo Lagoon, Western Province. It takes about 10 minutes motor boat ride from Vakabo Village and 25 Minutes from Seghe wharf and airfield.
By Plane: From Honiara, visitors to Marovo Lagoon travel by light plane (30-45 minute flight) to Seghe on the south east tip of New Georgia. Alternatively you can be picked up by boat from Ramata airstrip but the boat transfer takes about 1 hour. From Seghe it is approximately 12kms and takes 25 minutes. Transfers will be provided on arrival.
By Boat: A fast boat departs Honiara 0700 on Sundays( weather dependant) and drop passengers at Seghe Village at lunchtime. Slower local passenger boats leave Honiara Sunday morning and arrive in the Lagoon approx 10pm the same night. Transfers of the accommodation will be provided on arrival.
