For those with peacefull surroundings in mind and a fantastic view, Paradise Lodge will satisfy your needs. Set high on the hill, the views take in the southern ocean; towards the east are the chain of islands creating Gizo's harbour and surrounds, including the famous Kennedy Island ; and to the west are Simbo ( home of your host )and Ranonnga. The property was originally home to workers from a large Chinese trade store, but luckily for todays traveller, its can now be your home away from home.
The stroll down to town takes 20 minutes with breathtaking views, and for the exercise enthusiast the walk up the hill will take at least 30 minutes. But dont worry, there is an ample supply of taxis through town or easily called by phone.
Facilities & Services
Paradise Lodge has a licensed restaurant serving Western style and local meals. Breakfasts cost $33 - $40, Cooked Lunch is $55, and Dinners range from $66 to $77 for 1 or 2 courses or $99 for Buffet meals. All prices are tax inclusive.
They have a bar serving beers, wines and a limited variety of spirits.
Transportation charges to and from town are $30 per trip and $50 for a group.
