Savo Sunset Lodge is situated on the western side of Savo Island just 20 minutes boat ride from Vila village on West Guadalcanal. Your visit will Include lots of great adventurous activities. The Lodge has a seaside restaurant & bar with relaxing motel style accommodation. The highlight after an active day, is to laze in one of the beach hammocks and watch the beautiful sunset on the western horizon.
Facilities & Services
The lodge offers western comforts in motel style accommodation, and friendly island hospitality at the bar and restaurant. Drinks offered at the bar are beer, wine by the bottle and soft drinks. 3 Meals a day are served at the seaside restaurant with lots of fresh fuit and local vegetables. A weekend favourite is pig-on-a-spit.
A big cooked Breakfast approximately $80, Lunch $100 and Dinner usually buffet , around $120.
Tours are available at any time arranged by one of their great guides. Best options are the early morning Megapode Bird sightings and egg hunt, Volcano walks to venting areas on the eastern side of the island, waterfall walk and a great dolphin experience. Charges are calculated per person for each tour , plus transport and guide dependant on how many people go along.
The lodge has generator power usually running between 6pm and 8am so there is plenty of time to charge up batteries and enjoy the comfort of fans at night to sleep.
