Vanua Kino Homestay is situated on Vangunu Island looking westward towards Seghe Airstrip, just a 10-minute motor canoe ride away. The accommodation lies 50m from the edge of the lagoon in a small family hamlet of just four homes.
In front of the house is a small area of bush that has been preserved to attract birds, flying foxes and butterflies. Kingfishers, herons, hornbills and many varieties of parrots are all frequent visitors.
Vanua Kino offers a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area for self catering. However, if you prefer, meals using fresh local produce can be provided at an additional cost with breakfast at $30.00, Lunch $45.00 and dinner $100.00. Childrens meals are at a reduced price.
Solar power is used for lighting and fans, charging batteries or running small appliances.
The leaf house at the water's edge has a nice shady private deck and jetty and is an ideal spot to relax and take in the breath-taking views of the lagoon or to enjoy a meal at sunset.
