Solomon Islands Hotel Review

The accommodation was a little on the expensive side given that the rooms would have been rated 2star in Australia, however, they were clean and the service was good- 06/12/2009, Mr. Lachlan Scott
It’s just hard to get information on the Hotel and the area, I’m sure if I could have spoken the native tongue it would have helped. Getting the right food and understanding what actually available was hard.- 29/08/2009, Mr. Andrew Howarth

Heritage Park Hotel

Upon arriving at reception I was informed that there were no vacancies as local politicians were staying longer than expected due to elections. The hotel had arranged for staff to vacate their lodgings which were being offered. As it was so late I had no alternative but to accept. I was informed that this arrangement would be for one night only. The room was ok but of course was located far from the main facilities (you had to walk thru the workshops to gain entry) and did not receive and service. The blinds couldn't be drawn as other rooms faced directly onto your own. On the second day when I enquired about moving into a proper room I was informed that the other guests still hadn't left and I would be located in the current lodgings for the remainder of my stay. This was unsatisfactory given that I was paying AUD$280 per night. In discussions with the manager it was finally agreed that I would move to a suite which appeared to have been vacant the whole time. It seemed that the hotel is more prepared to downgrade guests than upgrade them!- 31/08/2010, Mr. Craig Thomson
The hotel was very comfortable and attentive with the service.- 30/08/2010, Mr. Dean Carlson
