Auki Lodge is the original accommodation in the Capital and is set amongst a lovely garden setting with open lawn spaces. The newly renovated leaf haus bar, conference room and restaurant compliment the comfortable rooms. The hillside setting is central to banks, shops and the centre of Auki township including the Auki Wharf which is only 5 minutes walk.
Auki Lodge was built in 1963 and originally owned by an Indian man named Fasset. He then sold it to David Maefaasia who in turn sold it to Abraham Eke in 1992, who is the current owner. This was the first accommodation in Auki and Malaita, and 2013 is the properties Jubilee celebration. Today, Abraham's daughter Salome together with her husband Simon Mannie manage the lodge assisted by Maggie and Elisabeth.
