B.H Transit Lodge is a very comfortable, homely accommodation situated in the hillside suburb area of Auki town in Malaita Province. Views from the extensive decking extend to distant ocean views, neighboring flower and fruit gardens, and beautiful sunsets. Residential areas are quieter than the center of town which appeals to many guests.
The house was originally built as a private home. In 2006 Accommodation was limited in Auki and the Premier asked then to accommodate a group from UNDB who were collecting data for UN Programs. In 2007 RAMSI Military also stayed, followed by advisors. From the funds gained from this, Ben purchased hardware and household goods and decided to develop his accommodation to continue income generation. Ben also has a property management business and local transport. Both Ben and his wife look after their guests to ensure a personal service
