This guided tour includes scenes from the Guadalcanal Battles, especially the areas which were held by the Japanese Imperial Forces, in their effort to recapture Henderson Field which was initially built by the Japanese forces using Korean labourers and Solomon Islanders.
You will drive past Kakabona Village, the Poha River, Bonegi Wreck , Tasifarongo and finishing the tour at the outdoor Vilu War Museum.
The road follows coconut plantations along the Western coast of Guadacanal Island with Savo Island directly opposite Visale Point as you go westward. Florida Islands and Iron Bottom Sound are also on your right side.
After the tour you may want to stop for snorkeling at Bonegi Beach and enjoy the marine life living in the shallows of the Japanese WW11 shipwreck.
