Getting there

Travel options from Honiara can be by private boat or public ferry. Taxis are available from the International airport to town and the Yacht club or Point Cruz depending on which route you choose.

For those arriving by boat, from the public wharf at Tulagi, Peter will pick you up with his motorized boat to transport you to the lodge. This trip takes 40 mins along the coast of Ngella in relatively sheltered waters. Its still advisable to take a spray jacket in case it rains.

For direct pickup by small private boat it takes 1 and a half, to 2 hours boat ride from Honiara ( Yacht Club) to the lodge. The trip is over open water and can be rough if windy conditions. A wet weather jacket is recommended for the trip. Luggage will be under cover, but plastic bags are great for keeping moisture out from cameras and sensitive items.
