Escape to the beautiful Island of Tulagi, and the site of the original capital. Raiders Hotel and Dive, named in recognition of the USMC 1st Division Raiders Battalion, is situated on the harbor waterfront looking down along to Ngella East. There is no hustle and bustle, or passing traffic and little sign of what Tulagi would have looked like years ago. Sitting out on the balcony you have a lovely view of south eastern Tulagi harbor. The village provides lots of opportunities to wander around historical sites from the British Protectorate days and the left over evidence from the Second World War.
The large shady open deck on the waters edge is a cool place to have a meal in the restaurant or relax and catch up with locals for a story and a cold drink from the bar. On the upper level is an extensive conference facility with an adjoining area for entertaining and meals separate from the public areas. Raiders Hotel and Dive staff can arrange dives, boat trips and tours to surrounding points of interest.
Dives include WW2 aircraft & shipwrecks as well as a number of beautiful reef and wall dives. Certified divers need to show proof of certification. They do not conduct any dive courses or mixed gas dives.
For the non-diver there are options to snorkel, hike, kayak, bird-watch, fishing, village visits or take a guided tour of WW2 sites.
