Titiru Eco Lodge lies between Egholo and Ugele Villages.on Rendova Island. The bushland setting provides a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Bungalows are sheltered around the mangroves of Saqiri Cove with its fish and bird sanctuary and fringed by forests. Daily activities offer guests an opportunity to learn about Solomon culture and customs as well as observing local flora and fauna.
The initiative to develop the Lodge came from encouragement from TDA ( The Nature Conservancy) staff and co-incided with the upgrading of Munda airport to an International strip. In the capable hands of the owner Kilo Paza, bush was cleared and buildings took shape using local materials. It took time, money and commitment to achieve this from early 2012. The lodge has given work to local unskilled villagers who are now developing skills.
Kilo is supported by Managers Willie and Mar for day to day activities.
