Visitors to Evis Resort can look forward to a memorable holiday in this remote idylic location on the edge of the Nono Lagoon. Individual bungalows offer views of stunning natural beauty. The resort is the only development on Nggatirana Island, which is a designated conservation area including its home reef.

The resort has been developed on Nggatirana Island on the edge of the Nono Lagoon. This is a private island on the south west side of Vanganu Island and northwest of Mbopo and Halisi villages.

Getting there

From Honiara, visitors to Marovo Lagoon travel by light plane (50-70 minute flight) to Seghe on the south east tip of New Georgia. It is a small airstrip with some private houses on the edge.

On arrival at Seghe, you will be transported approximately 10 km southwest, along the lagoon in a 22 foot open canoe with 40HP outboard engine. - standard transport in the area. Its best to be prepared for the chance of getting a little wet from spray on the way to the island! The trip takes about 25 minutes.

By Boat: Passenger vessels depart Honiara 10.00am on Sunday morning and arrive in the Lagoon at Seghe wharf for disembarkation approx 11pm the same night. Evis Resort staff will come to meet the ship and pick up guests.

Return Transfers to Seghe costs $300 SBD per adult. Children free up till 15 years.
